Bend Over Bento
Bento, the word that generally means lunchbox in Japanese, are famous for moms being super creative with food for their kids. Sometimes it can be quite a competition in the lunchroom among classmates as they unveil their bentos. A lot of Japanese moms make the food in the bento look like their kid’s favorite show, book, animal, car, or anything! At the same time, they accomplish getting the picky kids (or lover) to eat their vegetables. The bento craze has been slowly making its way into American lunch boxes as well. Another benefit is the bento box is reusable so it helps save the planet and the wallet from plastic bags. Their fun, cute, and practical, what’s not to like about them?
